Is It Working The Way You Want?

If your life is not working the way you want and you want to have more peace and joy, stop creating your identity from what is temporary. Don't create an identity that you are a high powered lawyer, great doctor, or a leader of some group, not the member of a prominent family, not a member of a rejected class of society --- these are only roles you play, experiences you have, not who you are. You are not the forgotten middle child nor the rejected grandmother, not the victim, not the conquerer. Your identity is not one of low self worth, not one of guilt or shame, not fear. Your identity comes from one Source --- from Him. This is who you are. This is what is eternal, and for that we can express great gratitude and joy. Lawrence Doochin
