Compassion is the entryway to God's Presence, because God is Love, and compassion is the foundation of Love. If we want to recognize ourselves as Love and feel God's Presence within us, we have to come from a place of compassion. If we are not able to be compassionate on others, we are judging them from a place of duality and separation. If we are not able to be compassionate on others, we are not able to be compassionate on ourselves. Being compassionate on ourselves, being easy on ourselves, giving ourselves Grace --- and allowing God's Grace upon us --- is the key to emotional and spiritual healing. Ask why you are not able to be compassionate on yourself and help in clearing those beliefs you hold which prevent that.

Many of our young people have lost the ability to make choices from a right Mind. I am not defining this as right and wrong, because that implies absolutes, and there are no absolutes. What I am describing is the ability to discern what is "right" for that individual and what is "right" for that person's contribution to the whole. We have lost an entire generation that has grown up in an extremely materialistic and "what can you do for me" society. This has been modeled for them by society and often by parents who have become lost in this dream of unreality. What you see is individuals sleepwalking through this illusion with a complete absence of a center. They do not know what it means to operate from a space of Truth. When you talk about this with most young people and with many adults, they look at you like you are coming from another world, which for them you are.

You do not find happiness by being famous. Some people learn this by being famous and seeing that it does not bring them the happiness they seek, but others pretend or fool themselves that they have found happiness through adulation of the world. You find your true joy, an inner joy, by being a vessel of Love and by knowing who you truly are. That joy arises from finding the Love of God and expressing that to others. You can do this even if you are famous, because you can be famous, have the adulation, but know it is not real.

The pain of our perceived separation from God creates an intense longing to return to Him. It is the intense pain of that longing, which magnifies the "farther" we move from Him, that propels us on the search for answers. Eventually, we see that the answer to our "problem" is Him.

The expression "it is what it is" does not mean you sit in hopelessness and depression. It means that you accept and surrender to everything, even what appears to be horrific or bad, knowing that nothing is outside of God. From this place of surrender, you can take the right action.

True joy arises from within and is permanent. Excitement is of the ego and is felt as adrenaline in the body. It is actually a form of fear that is both illusory and temporary.

You believe that the role you play in this dream is who you really are, and this is false. You are not the forgotten grandmother, the high powered attorney, the abused spouse, the esteemed politician, the middle child. Each is just a role someone has agreed to take on in order that they might remember, and they might help others to remember, who they really are.

Everything has a consciousness of God running through it --- a lake, a tree, a rock, a bird, the sun, a group of individuals, a nation. God's joy is that each expression is unique. He comes to know Himself in an infinite number of ways. Don't be limited by the belief that He expresses only through something "alive" or the belief that His expression through humans is the best. Each expression reflects perfection, for perfection is not the form, but it is just the holiness of the act of expression.
