When you talk to someone and you have your arms crossed, you are giving them an unconscious signal that you are closed off, disinterested, or fearful of what they are saying. When you open your arms, you are acknowledging that you are open to whatever they need to express, even if that is anger at you. The more open you are and accepting of all, the more you will open yourself to His presence.
