Unless we walk the world like Jesus, all of us know areas where we want
to improve on our remembrance journey back to God. The key is not
getting down on ourselves and self judging when we "misstep," when we
don't meet the standard we want to.
The actual work we are doing becomes almost secondary to the beliefs around that work --- compassion on ourselves and the letting go of self judgment, guilt, and shame when we don't meet our own standard becomes the most important thing we do. For if we don't fall into self judgment or guilt, then all of the other work we do, whether it is forgiveness or healing from emotional abuse or anything else, becomes much easier and quicker.
