When you are asked to do something, your ego sees it as being imposed upon or doing it because you have to, maybe as a tradeoff to stay in someone's good graces. It is thinking purely of itself. The Christ in you, the Real you, thinks nothing of itself. Its joy arises from giving to others, selflessly, wholly, and unconditionally.
The next time someone close to you asks you to do something, what do you initially feel and think? Do you feel put out or inconvenienced, or do you feel immediate joy around doing this?
