Do We Get What We Ask For?

 Do we get what we ask for? That depends on what part of us is asking and our belief system. 

If we are asking from a soul level and we have fully integrated our personality in our soul and spirit into a beautifully working one part being, then yes. And the soul desires will manifest very quickly. But if the ego is fully in control, then the soul desires may not be manifested unless there is an awakening, and the universe is pushing us to awaken because this is what we have requested at a soul level. Unfortunately if we don’t do that then we have to have a big stick dropped on our heads because we have not paid attention to the gentle taps before. This is what is happening for a large number of people in the world. 

If we are asking from an ego level for something to come about, we can manifest from this level because we are co-creators, but this may or may not happen depending on the underlying belief system. For instance someone might desire to win the lottery. It’s highly likely they are desiring to win the lottery because they believe that money will solve all of their issues and they are also trying to address low self-worth in a not so good way. So there is an underlying belief that they are not worthy and that belief is much stronger than the desire to win the lottery, thus they don’t win the lottery. If they had high self worth to begin with through the recognition of their divinity, then they would not desire to win the lottery because that would be a desire that is not in alignment with who they are. 

Of course a few people do win the lottery. Sometimes the universe teaches us what we don’t want by giving us what we think we want. How many times have we heard of people who lost all of their money after winning the lottery and said it was one of the worst experiences of their life? But in one sense we always get what we’re asking for because if we believe that we are not worthy than that is what will be brought to us.
