Polarity

 Eastern cultures understand the concept of polarity and that you need both sides to create balance and even existence. Polarity does not mean opposites in conflict. It’s similar to an electric current with positive and negative poles. In the West we want to eliminate the negative side, so we want to extend life and prevent death, we want to grow the economy exponentially without downturns, we want to eliminate all negative aspects in life. We believe that we can achieve this, because we believe we are separate from everything else, and that everything is not relational. That we can apply some force or concept to something that is separate from you and eliminate it or achieve some result. And temporarily it may appear that we have done that, but we have upset a very rich and interrelational complex of activity where effects and tangential activity may not be initially seen.
