Your judgment acts as protection for you. If you judge yourself, then you believe that God does not need to judge you for your separation from Him. When you withdraw judgment of yourself and others, which is the first step, initially there is fear. It is as if you are waiting for the other shoe to drop. You are waiting for Him to judge you, to punish you, to crucify you, now that you have no protection. Then you finally realize this is not coming, and you relax in to His Heart.

You may have been victimized, but you are not a victim, regardless of what happened to you, and many have encountered horrific circumstances such as traumatic childhoods, sexual/mental/ physical abuse, rape, etc. Every experience, even the rally "bad" ones, is an opportunity for growth, if we allow it to be and allow God in to help us heal. For we are not victims, but we are warriors in Christ, divine beings who reflect the Unity with our Father/Mother and all parts of the One. Use the traumatic experiences as manna to see who you really are. For when we begin to heal and take our power bac from the experience, we can see through contrast -- contrast to our eternal nature and that our Spirit can truly never be hurt --- that we are powerful. What happened to you does not define you UNLESS you let it. What happened to you is a grain of sand in an eternal beach of experiences. This does not mean that you don't have emotions and unprocessed energetics around what happened, because you do, especially if it happened in childhood when you did not have a support system to help you process it (and you buried it). But as we process these emotions, we learn to have compassion on ourselves, which is gas for our recognition of our divinity. As we process these emotions, we can feel God right there with us, as He experiences everything that we experience. It is His/Her Love and comfort, His Grace, which will see you through. Be powerful in your divinity, not powerless as someone who sees themselves as a victim.

Compassion is the entryway to God's Presence, because God is Love, and compassion is the foundation of Love. If we want to recognize ourselves as Love and feel God's Presence within us, we have to come from a place of compassion. If we are not able to be compassionate on others, we are judging them from a place of duality and separation. If we are not able to be compassionate on others, we are not able to be compassionate on ourselves. Being compassionate on ourselves, being easy on ourselves, giving ourselves Grace --- and allowing God's Grace upon us --- is the key to emotional and spiritual healing. Ask why you are not able to be compassionate on yourself and help in clearing those beliefs you hold which prevent that.

Proud and righteous and indignant are many who hold strong beliefs and opinions, thinking that only their views are right. But what they don't understand is that in order to be "right," they give up the joy and peace that is their inheritance from Him. Because when they think that they know everything they actually understand very little. They do not understand that all of these strong views and beliefs block Him from getting in to show them who He really is.

Be action based, not results based. Follow the actions that God gives you. Don't do something with expectations of the results, because you may be surprised and/or disappointed. We do not have a large enough perspective to know why He is asking us to take a certain action. We may think we know, but this can be ego arrogance. All we know for certain is that He has asked us to take a certain action, and we know that He always has our highest good. And that is true obedience.

In these statements, God is often referred to as "He." Does this offend you? Language should not be a barrier to God, Him, the Creator, The Divine, She, Great Spirit --- whatever you want to call "Him." Language is one level removed from God as we live and have our being in wordless communion with Him. The only barrier to God is when someone has a belief system that is set in stone and does not allow for Him to show you who He really is. Allow yourself to flow with the River of Life. A river changes course at times. Allow yourself this movement, which is only possible when you are not rigid in your beliefs that it has to be a certain way.

What ways do you search for God? Do you like to travel to far away places? Do you like to have peak experiences like climbing mountains? Do you look for Him in food or a bottle? Are you obsessive about exercising? Do you look for Him in relationship after relationship? The world has come up with some pretty interesting and some pretty destructive ways to search for God, to search for only what He can give to you, and to drown the sorrow of not having Him. But you do have Him. He is inside of you. You never need look outside of your Self. There is nothing "good" or "bad" with anything of this world --- we can enjoy all of it. The question becomes whether it becomes your God --- is it put in front of Him or used as a defense to keep you away from Him. Don't turn your face from Him any longer.
