We withhold forgiveness from someone to punish ourselves. For we are One, and what we do to another or withhold from another is done to us.
We shall receive as we give out. When we withhold forgiveness, we do it in order to punish. But we do this because we have not forgiven ourselves for our "sins," and we believe we deserve punishment. By withholding forgiveness from another, we are in effect punishing ourselves.
