 Your power comes from not caring what other people think of you. For this is looking outside of yourself for your identity, and your identity can only come from God --- not your parents, not your spouse, your boss, your religious community, etc. 

Do you need someone's approval to feel better about yourself? The only approval you need is from yourself and God, and I can assure you that God unconditionally loves and approves of you --- as you are! No changes needed. When He created you as part of Himself, part of Herself, there were no changes necessary. And nothing has changed since the moment of your creation. Perfect, holy, without "sin." 

When you can walk through the world and know your Unity, know that you are perfect as you are, know that others are perfect as they are, know that others are asleep and their perception of you has no bearing on how you see yourself, then you are FREE.
