You can choose to be offended by something, or you can choose to not be. The key is that it is your choice. It doesn't depend on what the other person said or did. You can see it as the most "horrific" thing in the world, but you have the power of choice in terms of how you react to it. Why would you not want to be offended? It does not bring you His peace, nor His power. The powerful are those who are able to look past --- look past the offense, look past the betrayal, look past the harsh words. For when we look past what is only an appearance, we see God within everything and everyone.
