Purification

To know Oneness and Union with God, you must be like Him. Since He is pure and perfect, you must be purified in the fires of His Love. All that is impure in you --- all of your false beliefs, your self judgment, your pride, your fear, your resentment, your bitterness, your self pity --- all of this must be burned away. Just as a piece of wood becomes like the fire, you must be transmuted and transformed. If you run away when the fire of His Love begins to just singe those areas within you that need to be purified, how will you endure more severe trials and tribulations? Our Father wants to raise everyone to Union with Him, but how few are the ones who really want it bad enough to endure what it takes to get there? "If you have grown weary running with the footmen, how will you contend with the horses?
