When we say that God has our highest good, what does that mean? It means that we accept the circumstances of our life, even if they are difficult, because we know that we cannot see the whole picture. We are but a tree in the forest. We may prefer that these circumstances change, but we do not resist where we are at, because if we are present where we are at, we are with Him. Our only focus should be faith in Him that He is taking care of us, even if we do not understand why something is happening to us or when it will change. In fact, acknowledging that we do not understand leads to grace and humility throughout our life.
