How often do you say you are going to surrender something to God but then retain control of it? Do you still worry about it when it crosses your mind? Do you still envision outcomes? Do you still talk to others about it? Then you haven't truly let go, and you cannot blame Him for not taking care of it when you didn't really give it to Him. When you have truly given something to Him, you have a great peace around it and you don't have any expectations as to the outcome as you know He always has your highest good. And you probably don't know what your highest good looks like --- that is why you need to surrender everything.
