What is in your power? What can you "control?" You certainly can't make someone like you. You can't make them love or forgive you even if you are very close to them and you want it very badly. You can't even make God love you, although He does unconditionally and eternally beyond all measure of understanding. What is fully in your power is the ability to love and forgive, always! This you can do, regardless of how much the other person has hurt you, regardless of your circumstances, regardless of anything. This is a great power, the power that can move mountains and create miracles. This is the reality of who you are. The more you recognize this and practice it, the more you will LIVE it --- and what others "do" to you will have little bearing. This is where the peace of God lies.
