When you pray, pray with gratitude for all the abundance and blessings you have, even if you are talking in general terms. If you pray for something you don't have, you are acknowledging and reinforcing a lack which is not really there.
the Universe responds to what you are praying for and reinforcing and will bring you more of the same, even if that is lack.
