Same Love

 

It is easy to love animals --- they don't say hurtful things to you or get mad at you. The love you feel for them, and the love you feel back from them, can be the same with any person. It is a matter of desire. How badly do you want to see past what is false --- in that other person and in yourself? For them, can you look past their hurtful words, their bitterness or anger, their betrayal, their liess, to see the Christ within? For you, can you look past the false you by realizing that your anger, your defenses, your quick reactions and judgments when you are accused, are not the Real you, who is also the Christ, who is Love? What you feel with animals can be felt with everyone and everything. How badly do you want to be the Real you?
