Only the ego sees your strong mind and intellect as an impediment to reaching God. Only the ego thinks it has to get out of the way. But all this transpires in the illusion. The ego, a product of the illusion, is trying to work within the illusion to get out of the illusion. If none of this makes sense, you have entered the world of the ego, and this is how the vast majority of people in this world operate.
