Self Versus self

 

Spirit flows in and through you. You are not separate from it as you are the flow but also a point carried within the flow. Similar to a wave in the ocean. When we over identify with our body and personality, with our unique desires, traumas, defenses, experiences - we don’t know ourselves as the flow. The energy becomes dammed up within us and we think that what is not real (our self) is our real Self. Our self is real to the extent we believe in it, as that’s how creative thought works. But it’s temporary. It’s not any more real than a wave which rises and crashes, being reabsorbed back into the ocean. A majority of people fully identify solely with their ego self, and the only result of this is fear.
